KACHIN STATE – It’s been reported that a man who was known as an informer of the military council in the Hpakant locals was shot by a gun at 10:30 a.m., September 15.
According to a local man from Hpakant, while the man who was shot was driving, two unknown people opened fire at the intersection of Maw Weng Ward (locally known as Zawtikakone).
“That person has been reporting to the military council for a long time. Before, he also reported the news during the protest,” he said.
The victim who was shot was Mr. Nyi Nyi Lwin, over 40 years old, who is the owner of the Ayeyar Myint Mo motorcycle spare parts store that opened near the police station in Maw Weng Ward.
Due to being shot with a gun, Mr. Nyi Nyi Lwin was injured by a bullet in his arm. He is currently receiving medical treatment at Hpakant Hospital.
During the coup, there were unknown murders, looting had been going on for a while in Hpakant Township and a man died of stab wounds at the entrance to Bazan Chauk Village on September 11.
