KACHIN STATE – Locals reported that the terrorist junta forces raided and torched Maupin Village on the Hpakant Road in Kamaing, Hpakant Township for no reason and abducted three civilians, including Reverend Lashi Tu Lum of the Kachin Baptist Church (KBC).
On February 7, around 10 a.m., the terrorist junta from Light Infantry Battalion 102 raided Maupin Village while recklessly firing their guns and torched and destroyed the houses and cars of the residents.
“They (junta forces) raided and torched Maupin Village on the Hpakant Road in the morning, although there were no battles. Three civilians including Reverend Lashi Tu Lum from the KBC, were abducted,” said a resident.
The three civilians abducted by the junta terrorists have been identified as Reverend Lashi Tu Lum, Mr. Kyaw San, and Mr. Zaw Win Aung. It is said that the junta forces took the abducted civilians with them when they left the village. They are still not released.
