KACHIN STATE – It was reported that the terrorist junta army forced all of the teachers, students and employees at the Bhamo University in Bhamo Township to move out within two hours during the night, and took station there, according to some students of the Bhamo University.
On March 7, at around 7:00 p.m., the fascist junta army invaded the Bhamo University and drove all of the employees, students and teachers out of the university, and took station there.
“The terrorist junta army invaded Bhamo University and forced people in the university to leave there within two hours under the pretext of security reasons. The employees and teachers moved to other universities. They moved to Nam Hpar and Technology University in 3-miles. There were many students who chose to return to their home this morning (March 8),” explained a student of Bhamo University.
On the morning of March 7, Bhamo Airport was attacked by improvised rockets, and the junta blocked the roads in the town and the roads heading to the airport. The junta army deployed its forces around the town and prepared sandbags and trenches.
