KACHIN STATE – Two civilians were reportedly killed in Bhamo Town due to the heavy weapons fired by the junta army.
The fascist army based in Bhamo Town fired heavy weapons to the other side of the Irrawaddy River and the shells fell into Moesein Kyun and Mine Kar Villages, a revolutionary comrade active in Bhamo Town said.
“There was no battle but the junta army just fired heavy weapons. I heard that it fell into Mine Kar Village and exploded. A person was killed by that. There were also artilleries that fell into Moesein Kyun. I’m not sure how many people were killed.”
A woman from Mine Kar Village and a child from Moesein Kyun Village were said to have died due to the explosions of junta heavy artillery, and the details are still being investigated.
Locals guessed that the firing from junta army was aimed at gold mining sites along the Irrawaddy River. The junta council often conducts such kind of heavy weapons shelling, locals commented.
