SAGAING DIVISION – It was reported that two people killed and at least five injured in Htan Taw Gyi Village of Budalin Township due to the artillery attacks of North Western Command (NWC) in Monywa Township, according to a member of Budalin People’s Defence Force.
North Western Command in Monywa Township launched unprovoked artillery attacks over the villages in Budalin Township without any fight, on the night of April 24. The artillery landed and exploded in Htan Taw Gyi Village, killing two people.
“Two men died after being hit by the artillery shell, and there were also injured people. There was no fighting,” he said.
Among those who were injured by the junta’s heavy weapons, there were also those who were seriously injured until their hands were amputated. It was reported that four people, including a child, were injured due to the explosion of a large weapon fired by the junta army in Kun Chan and Sa Lon villages of Budalin Township.
