SAGAING DIVISION- Residents of Butalin Township said that a local was killed and many houses were torched by the junta army after raiding and opening fire on Zeetaw village last Monday (March 11).
On March 11, at 6:00 a.m., military soldiers entered Zeetaw village, in the south of Butalin Township, for the 5th time and started opening fire. As a result of the shooting, a civilian was killed and 2 others were reportedly injured.
“This morning, they entered the village and opened fire. They also set fire to the houses. One local was killed and two were injured,” said a local.
Thirteen houses and twelve cow stalls were reportedly burnt down in the military council torching. This was the 5th time that the military council troops entered and torched Zeetaw village and nearly 160 houses were burned down.
