KARENNI STATE – The junta council carried out an airstrike on Saw Lone Village in Bawlakhe Township on Wednesday (May 17) at around 4 a.m., resulting in the death of a 17-year-old child and the destruction of eight civilian houses, including two village clinics.
“At around 4 a.m., one girl was killed due to the junta’s airstrike, and four other elders were injured. Two clinic buildings and six houses were destroyed, and a monastery was slightly affected,” said an official from Bawlakhe PDF.
In Bawlakhe District, the junta forces have carried out airstrikes on civilian villages three times, and the public must be aware and take precautions to avoid the junta’s air attacks, he added.
