MYANMAR – Over 120 political prisoners who were illegally abducted by the junta council were released on Tuesday (August 1), the full moon day of Warso.
The junta released 7,749 prisoners under Section 401-1, and the release of over 120 political prisoners was confirmed.
Those released were illegally abducted by the junta soldiers and should not be abducted, said AAPP. The junta council also released 22 prisoners who are connected with EROs such as MNDAA, TNLA, SSPP/SSA, and AA.
The junta council illegally abducted 24,130 innocent civilians, but they still reject those facts.
Despite the junta council releasing some prisoners, the junta troops have been oppressing people around the country, murdering 101 civilians, and abducting 144 civilians within July.
