MANDALAY DIVISION – An official of the Wetlet Information Network stated that the junta regime forces reportedly arrested two locals, broke their legs, and shot them in Madaya Township.
On the 10th and 11th of May, junta troops raided the villages of Ouktaunggai and Udein in the west of Madaya Township. The junta column reportedly destroyed three houses in Ouktaunggai Village and arrested three people on May 10 and raided and detained three locals of Udein Village on the next day (May 11).
The troops that left Udein Village on May 12 reportedly released one of the detainees but shot the remaining two people somewhere near a stream in the northwest of the village after breaking their legs.
“The names of the deceased are not yet known and the bodies have not been cremated yet,” stated the spokesperson of Wetlet Information Network.
On May 14, the junta army reportedly headed north of Ywartawgyi and is currently in the Tharezak Village, according to the locals.
In addition, the terrorist junta troops set up heavy weapons near Yaytaw and Khwaykyun Villages in Singu Township and fired indiscriminately toward the west. These heavy artillery shells fell at the Hteekone Monestry Compound, killing two locals and injuring several, as reported by Wetlet Information Network.
“It’s the junta’s one-sided shooting with heavy weapons. Thare aren’t any ongoing battles. Civilian casualties were reported but the victims’ names are not yet known,” stated the official of Wetlet Information Network.
