MANDALAY DIVISION – The People’s Defense Force (Mandalay)-MDY PDF reported that a small Junta Council base camp near Madaya in Mandalay Region was captured.
On May 10 at 5 a.m., a small military council station based at the Monastery in South Tangar village, 2 miles north of Madaya, was raided and captured.
“There are about 30 terrorist soldiers normally stationed at Taung Tangar village Monastery. This morning’s battle, we recovered 12 bodies. Among those who fled, there were also those who ran away with injuries,” Mr. Osmon, spokesperson of Mandalay PDF said.
It is reported that a drone jammer, a lot of weapons and ammunitions, 12 bodies of the enemy including one captain, have been seized. Mandalay PDF also informed that 1 PDF comrade has fallen.
In addition, it is stated that there were many people who fled from the enemy’s side during the battle.
“As the South Tangar camp was only 2 miles away from Madaya, the enemy’s reinforcements could reach us quickly, so we did not pursue the fleeing soldiers,” Mr. Osmon explained.
Among the seized weapons, the pistol held by Junta Council Captain Chit Khaing was a toy plastic gun.
It is said that the small camp in the Taung Tangar village that has been captured is located at the exit from Madaya to the side of Sint Gu. Junta thugs from that camp were usually looting money from the people between the Madaya town and Yananthar village.
