MANDALAY DIVISION – According to the locals, the junta council forced the stallholders in Mandalay to install CCTVs by August 31. The junta council also threatened the stallholders if they didn’t install CCTVs in time, action will be taken.
During August, the junta council troops, ward administrative officers and municipal employees sent threatening letters to install CCTVs to the stalls in Mandalay.
The stallholders have to install four CCTVs; two for inside and two for outside. The renewal of business licence and the new registration can only be allowed when they (stallholders) install CCTVs. If they didn’t install CCTVs, the junta council servants will take action against those people.
“The junta council dogs (soldiers), ward administrative officers and municipal employees forced the stallholders to install CCTVs. If the stallholders didn’t install CCTVs, they (junta council servants) will not allow the renewal of business licence and the new registration and will take action,” said a local.
