SHAN STATE – The junta council’s air force is said to have carried out 11 aerial bombings in Manton of northern Shan State after the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) attacked and captured the junta infantry battalion 130 base in Manton, seizing control of the town.
The junta council’s Y12 planes reportedly dropped 111 bombs in Manton and its vicinity in 11 aerial bombings on December 22 after 8 p.m., stated TNLA.
The bombings happened after TNLA captured the base of infantry 130, the last remaining junta base in the town.
A local news source on the ground reported that TNLA and allied forces completely captured the infantry 130 base on December 22 at 6:30 p.m. The news source also uploaded images taken inside the base.
TNLA informed that the junta council had conducted airstrikes to defend their base as well before losing it to the resistance forces.
It is said that the junta Y12 planes scouted near Nalin Village and Mansa Village in Manton to search for targets.
There were civilian casualties and damages to civilian houses as a result of the brutal bombings by the junta air force.
Moreover, the junta stations in Nammatu, Kyaukme, Kutkai, Namphatka and Moemeik Townships also fired heavy artillery into the villages in the region, announced TNLA.
