MYANMAR – It is reported that 15 people, including two monks, were killed when the junta dropped aerial bombs on Hpapun, Karen State, and Mabein, Shan State.
“At 6:40 p.m. on April 2, the junta army aerial-bombed Moelone Village in Mabein Township with a jet fighter without an ongoing fight in the region. The bomb exploded and the village monastery collapsed. Seven civilians, including a monk, were killed and five people were injured. Ten houses were burnt down,” reported a Kachin Independence Army (KIA) news source.
Similarly, in Karen State, it was reported that a fighter plane continuously bombed a monastery in Hpapun Township from March 31 to April 2. Eight locals, including a monk, died as a result of the bombing.
Fatalities due to army bombardment in Hpapun Township are as follows.

2- Ms. Thithi May, 33 years old
3- Ms. Sita Rita, 17 years old
4- Mr. Tun San Lwin, 28 years old
5- Mr. Myo Min Oo, 40 years old
6- Mr. Po Tha Htoo, 36 years old
7- Mr. Aung Aung, 43 years old
8- An Unknown man
