MYANMAR – Locals reported that the junta air force carried out airstrikes targeting Nhamtwae Village in Maingot Town, Kyaukme Township in northern Shan State while simultaneously cutting off mobile networks in the area.
Nhamtwae Village was bombed by junta planes on December 30 around 2:30 p.m. and as the mobile networks were cut off, the details of the damage is not known yet.
“The junta air force bombed Nhamtwae Village in Maingot Town. We saw large smoke coming up (in that direction) around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon (December 30). Because phone lines are not working in the area of Maingot, we don’t know the exact details yet,” said a resident.
Similarly in Bago Division, the junta air force carried out airstrikes in Nattankwin Town, Kyaukgyi Township.
Three junta planes were said to have attacked Nattankwin Town on December 30 around 3:20 p.m. and the damages to civilians are still being confirmed.
“We don’t know yet if there were civilian casualties. Three planes from the junta air force carried out airstrikes in Nattankwin around 3:20 p.m.,” reported the locals.
