SHAN STATE – From around 11 p.m. on July 23 to July 24 dawn, a battle occurred between the junta forces and MNDAA, and a resident man from Man Kan Village was injured by the junta artillery shells.
During this battle, MNDAA requested the civilians not to go out of the village, and the civilians are stuck there. “Almost all villagers are fleeing because of the battle, and those who ran away couldn’t go back to the village. The victim who was hit by the junta shell fainted this morning (July 24) as he over bled last night. The rest are stuck at the village and couldn’t go anywhere,” said a resident.
During the battle, one man was wounded in the leg, and it’s difficult because health workers from the village have been forced to flee during the previous battle.
On July 18, battle occurred between MNDAA and the junta forces near Man Kan and Loi Lim Villages, and some residents and the village chief were abducted.
A resident reported that some abductees and the village chief escaped from the junta council but the details of the victims couldn’t be confirmed as some villagers couldn’t be contacted.
