KARENNI STATE – On December 24th, bereaved families and relatives held prayers and lit candles briefly on the 2nd anniversary of the massacre of more than 40 civilians in Hpruso township, Karenni state, committed by terrorist junta army.
The purpose of the lighting prayer is to remind public about those victims passed away in the Christmas Eve massacre (or Moso incident), said one of the people who participated the lighting prayer.
Last December 24th, 2021, during the Moso incident, more than 40 innocent people were killed, along with a total of 8 large and small cars, including a Dumper car, two trawler jeeps, 6 motorcycles were burned together. Moso residents are asked not to forget December 24th and to remember.
