MANDALAY DIVISION – A man (80) from Nyaung Gone Village at the upper part of Mogok Township was wounded as the junta council’s army bombarded without any battle on October 21 at around 4 p.m., said a local resident of Mogok.
Junta air force shelled twice using war planes and a shrapnel was hit to the thigh of the old man and injured.
“His condition was not so severe but had to send to Monglon Hospital,” said the local man.
In addition, two houses from Nyaung Gone Village, transformer, and a house at Phyu Yaung Village were destroyed.
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) also announced that the junta council bombed Loimauk mountains near Tima Village in Muse Township without fighting on October 20 using two jet fighter planes.

As the military council advanced using excessive forces to the region where the TNLA Brigade (2) forces have controlled, a clash broke out from the morning 11 a.m. to the afternoon 2 p.m.
During the battle, junta council mainly fired using heavy weapons and fighter places were also hovering till night, but there were no air strike on October 20.
“Everyone was very panic as the fighter jets have been hovering up to the next day,” said a local resident before the air strike by junta army on October 21.
The statement of TNLA mentioned that the brutal military army, stationing at lower Nyaung Gone and Phyu Yaung villages, fired using 60mm and RPG-7 heavy weapons for more than thirty times.
Clashes occurred frequently between TNLA, together with its allied forces against atrocious junta army starting from early September at Phyu Yaung Village, four miles away from Mogok Town, and around the Mogok-Kyaukme road near Upper Nyaung Gone Village.
Thousands of local people had to flee from their homes and had to stay in the monasteries or at close relative houses in Mogok town. At present, there are also some residents who have gone back to their own place.
