MANDALAY DIVISION – A painting by Mr. Min Ko Naing, an 88 generation students leader, titled “Kyaung Kalay Yae Hnalonethar (The heart of the kitten)” is reportedly being auctioned for the People’s Defence Forces (PDF) of Mogok.
The auction began on November 14, as “Oh Si Ti Tan Myaing Sae Phoe Mogok Myay Ko Ku Kya Sot (Let’s help Mogok land so that the sound of Oh Si shall be spread)” campaign, launched by PDF column 1221, 1222 and 1223.
The floor price for the auction is set as 1111 USD, to commemorate 1111, a symbol of the Spring Revolution.
At present, the highest bid is 9,500 USD by Ahla (Singapore) from Singapore.
Payment for this auction will only be accepted in DMMK and international currency and won’t be dealt using local banking and mobile payment apps in consideration of safety. The painting will be delivered to the doorstep of the auction winner.
The deadline for the auction is November 25 night and the organisers invited the people to take part in the auction to take hold of the painting “Kyaung Kalay Yae Hnalonethar”.
It is said that the latest updates regarding the auction will be shared on the D-Day revolutionary channel.
