KARENNI STATE – Clashes occurred in Moebye Town, at the border of Shan-Karenni, on Sunday (June 11) morning as the Karenni Alliances attacked the junta soldiers stationed in Moebye, according to an official from KNDF Battalion-3.
“The clashes also occurred yesterday, and the fighting continues today. Both sides have casualties, and that’s all we can confirm at the moment,” said a source from Moebye.
KNDF Battalion-3 also warned the public to avoid traveling to or getting involved with Moebye Town due to the current military tension. Since the beginning of June, the coalition forces of the PNO and the junta forces have been launching an offensive with significant strength in Moebye Town, resulting in frequent clashes.
Around 400 junta council soldiers are stationed in the No. 2 residential ward in Moebye Town. Civilians are also being killed as the junta recklessly fires heavy artillery shells. Similarly, the junta council soldiers have also murdered five civilians from the No. 2 Residential Ward and raped two girls.
Within the past two weeks, eight males and five females have been murdered by the junta troops in Moebye Town, and three children are among the victims.
That’s why the public must comply with the statements of PDF and be aware of the security concerns due to military tension and any other conditions.
