KARENNI STATE-The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (K.N.D.F) reports that junta forces killed 33 civilians in June in Moebye Township on the border between Shan and Karenni states.
The junta troops shot civilians who were trapped in the town after the junta forces, who had attempted to deploy in Mobye Township, entered the town in early June. Some were killed by the junta’s heavy weapons.
Mr. Phyoe K.N.D.F information officer said that in addition to the killings by the junta, some people had also lost, saying, “The junta regime fought very hard. There were many people trapped in the town. And the junta killed them. The 33 bodies we have right now are just the ones we found. There were missing people and many people who were not able to collect their bodies.”
Among the junta’s brutal killings was a 10-year-old minor, and they reportedly occupied the entire township of Mobye.
It has been reported that the junta regime may have deliberately killed civilians, while others may have been shot as they walked.
Dead bodies were found next to the motorcycle as a result of the junta killings, and many bullet holes were also found on the motorcycle, according to the K.N.D.F.
According to the data stated by the Progressive Karenni People Force (PKPF), a total of 365 civilians were killed due to the junta’s killings in the Karenni State during the coup period.
