KACHIN STATE – KIA comrades captured the Sein Lon Strategic Camp near Lwegel Town, Moemauk Township, on April 1st (Monday) morning.
On March 27th, KIA began attacking the junta camps on the Banmaw-Lwegel Road and continued to capture them. Finally, KIA seized the Sein Lon Strategic Camp, which is important for the junta council, on April 1st at 7:00 a.m.
“The Sein Lon Strategic Camp was captured by KIA at 7 a.m., and there are no junta camps on the Banmaw-Lwegel Road. KIA comrades confiscated massive weapons,” said a KIA source.
KIA joint forces also gained control of Lwegel Town and the border gate as there are no junta camps around Lwegel Town.
KIA initiated the operation on March 7th and has already confiscated 61 junta camps.
