KACHIN STATE – According to military sources, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has launched a heavy offensive against the junta’s infantry battalion – 437.
Recently, KIA forces captured the Moemauk Police Station and expelled junta forces from Moemauk Downtown.
“The battle is escalating, with KIA seizing three junta vehicles and one tank,” reported a source. Another source confirmed this information.
After capturing junta camps and battalions along the Myitkyina – Banmaw Road and Banmaw – Lwal Gel Road, KIA initiated an offensive in Moemauk. Presently, KIA controls Moemauk Town, and there will be no junta soldiers left in Moemauk after capturing the junta infantry battalion – 437.
