INDIA – Myanmar Refugee Committee Siaha (MRCS) opened a school in the evening of May 19, 2023 for the education of Myanmar refugee children who are in Siaha, Mizoram State, India.
The opening ceremony was held at the YMA hall, Siaha and the number of students is known to be 192.
The school principal, Dr Pan Hmone Lane stated, “There are 192 registered students (both girls and boys) and the syllabus will be that of Myanmar curriculum which will begin on May 22. “
Diamond Private School has reportedly allowed their school rooms to be used after their school hours (after 3 p.m.) for the refugee children.
