SAGAING DIVISION – It was reported by the youth strike committee of Chaung U Township that the NPT and friends of the NPT who are in Korea donated Rs 200 lakh for the fire-affected people of Nyaungpintae village in Chaung Oo township, Monywa District, on January 10th.
On December 21st, the junta council troops burned down the houses of Nyaungpinte village, and 140 houses were destroyed by fire. It was difficult to rehabilitate them, he said.
“The people who were affected by the fire were not able to retrieve any goods. They are having difficulty with daily living. We helped to rehabilitate the village,” said Comrade Zwai Lay, a member of the youth strike committee.
He added that 300,000 MMK was donated for each family of 140 families affected by the fire, and a total of 200 lakh kyats were given to the Nyaungpinte Village Rehabilitation Committee.
At present, the village is being cleaned up and the residents are returning to live in temporary shelters.
In addition to the public strike, the youth force strike committee of Chaung Oo township supports the people fleeing the war and those affected by the fire, public health, and interim education schools.
