RAKHINE STATE – As a consequence of Mocha Cyclone which recently hit in Myebon Township, Rakhine State, Chin ethnic civilians were reportedly surviving with limited food rations for more than a week and in needs of external aids at the moment.
Chin ethnic villages in the region Including Nga Shwe Pyin Village, Thayettaw village, Laytu Village and others were badly hit by the cyclone and houses, monasteries, schools and lakes for drinking water storage were largely affected.
Civilians in these areas have been restoring and rebuilding damaged houses independently at the moment and needing help for food, medicine and other assistance.
In addition, Chin ethnic villages from Minpyar Township also encountered similar damages and seeking external aids.
