SHAN (NORTH) STATE – News and Broadcasting of Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) announced on Sunday (May 29) that the administration department of Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) gave financial support to the families whose houses were destroyed due to cyclone Mocha.
PSLF/TNLA reportedly gave financial support based on the damaged situation and rebuilt the damaged school in Naung Hwei Village, Mone Hum Township, Brigade 5 military region.
The stated announcement also described the contribution of 1.7 million MMK for three houses that had been destroyed in the storm after the Ta’ang Brigade 3 led by the commander meeting with the local people from Man Laing Village, Manton Township on May 26.
In addition, TNLA stated that the Namhsan Township administration department supported the houses being destroyed by the storm in Brigade 2 region: 1 million MMK for three houses from Pan Ou Hla Village, over 2.6 million MMK for 12 houses from Za Yang Mai Mai Village, and 12 million MMK for the houses from Pan Nin Village.
Furthermore, PSLF/TNLA news and broadcasting department reported that over 100 houses including schools and monasteries from 22 villages in TNLA-controlled territory had been destroyed by the cyclone Mocha that happened on May 14 and 15.
