MON STATE – The KRF (Kyaikto Revolution Force) reported a drone attack on the military council checkpoint at the intersection of Moppalin in Kyaikto Township.
It is reported that at about 2:25 p.m., on April 4, the revolutionary force attacked the checkpoint because the military council was firmly building bunkers, expanding forces, and conducting forced inspections of passing civilians.
The attack was a joint effort by the Karen National Union/ Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA), Kyaikto People’s Defence Force and KRF, and the grenade exploded directly on the roof of the gate, and a video record released by KRF also showed it exploding on the roof.
However, the casualties of the military council are not yet known.
“Regarding the situation of injury, they’ve covered it up and we can’t investigate the news,” said the KRF official.
KRF said that the revolutionary comrades who carried out the attack were not harmed.
The statement also stated that if the Moppalin camp is not dissolved and continues to expand, more serious attacks will be carried out.
In recent days, the KRF attacked about four people implementing the junta council’s conscription law and collecting the list of young people in Kyaikto Township.
