SAGAING DIVISION – The junta torched the betel farms and huts in the back of Mau village, Monywa Township, for no apparent reason, according to the information officer of the Monywa Township People’s Defense Force (Monywa PDF).
It has been reported that on July 11th, at 7:24 a.m., the junta army arrived near Mau Sitan bridge on Monywa-Mandalay Road, Monywa Township, Sagaing Division. They entered the village and set fire to the betel farms and huts, possibly including people’s homes.
“Burning for no reason while clearing mines near the Mau Sitan bridge, Monywa-Mandalay Road. The betel farms and huts behind the Parami school in the head of Mau village are being torched and destroyed by the military terrorists. Some houses may also be destroyed,” said the public information officer of the Monywa Township People’s Defense Forces (Monywa PDF).
In townships, including Monywa Township, Sagaing Division, the terrorist military has reportedly been patrolling, destroying, and looting people’s homes. The arrest and killing of people have intensified in recent days, according to local sources.
