SAGAING DIVISION – On Monday (June 12) at around 2 p.m., approximately 30 junta council soldiers stationed at Ma U Village raided Nyaung Pin Tha Village, the southern entrance of Monywa, injuring one woman’s leg and others, and setting a teashop on fire, according to the residents.
“That junta column reportedly came from Ma U Village. They also set a teashop on fire at the southern entrance of Monywa. We don’t know if the junta soldiers abducted civilians or carried out arson attacks on other civilians’ houses. They’re still there,” said a source.
Massive junta soldiers have been patrolling since 1 p.m. in Monywa Downtown, inspecting every boy around Shwe Phalar Store, Yone Gyi Residential Ward. The junta soldiers have also forced nearby stores to close, and similarly, they threatened to close shops in Pagoda Gyi Residential Ward.
