KACHIN STATE- A KIA military source told the media that 5 people were killed and more than 30 were injured due to the 3-day aerial bombardment by the junta army on Jelkham village, Mansi Town.
On February 17, Jelkham (Sikhamgyi) Military Strategy Camp was attacked by resistance allied forces, and the army aerial bombed the village 14 times, killing 5 and injuring more than 30 people.
On the 18th and 19th of February, the entire Jelkam village, including the village school, was almost completely destroyed due to more than 60 aerial bombardments.
“During the 3-day battle, due to military council troops bombardment of the entire village of Jekham (Sikhamgyi), many houses and the school were burned down,” said a KIA military source.
The terrorist’s Jelkham strategic camp was reported attacked by the joint Kachin People Defense forces, together with the Arakan Army and Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and finally captured the camp at 5:45 p.m. on February 19.
