KACHIN STATE – The 66kV electricity power line which was used for supplying electricity to Myitkyina and Waingmaw towns was destroyed in junta bombardment using fighter jets, according to Kachin Independence Army (KIA) news source.
The Bu Ga Electric Company announced that 66kV power line of which the electricity was supplying from Mali Power plant was reportedly broken at about 11:30 a.m. due to the war on August 4 and it is facing a situation where power cannot be sent. The residents of the neighborhoods distributed by Myitkyina power substation (3) will be supplied with the electricity in every four hours interval.
“The terrorist junta army continuously bombing between Myitkyina and Waingmaw towns using fighter planes and the power supply also cut off. It is not easy to repair so people may not get electricity,” the KIA news source explained.
