KACHIN STATE – Locals reported that the terrorist junta council is forcibly removing the CDM railways staff from their staff housings in Aungnan Ward of Myitkyina City, accusing them of squatting.
The CDM staff have reportedly been notified to leave their residences by June 15 and the junta council troops from the Northern Command are said to have set up bunkers and trenches inside the railways compound and staying on standby.
“All the CDM staff, in total over 30 housings (have been warned to move out). They (junta forces) posted notices but have also repeatedly pressured the staff to leave their homes,” said one local resident.
It is said that the threats by the junta council had caused numerous hardships for the CDM railways staff and some of the staff families, left with no place to stay, have even been made to live on the Irrawaddy River Bank without any shelter.
