MYANMAR – It was reported that five members of Border Guard Force (BGF) fled to Bangladesh territory, and a total of 14 junta forces fled to Bangladesh within two days, according to Bangladesh news media. The first batch of 330 deserters from the junta army were sent back to the junta army.
On April 14, at 11:30 p.m., Bangladesh time, five members of BGF fled to Bangladesh territory, said Lieutenant Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed of the Bangladesh Border Guard.
Three members of BGF fled to Bangladesh territory on March 30 and 177 terrorist junta forces also fled to Bangladesh area on March 11.
At the beginning of this year, 330 junta forces fled to Bangladesh for the first time, and all of them were sent back to Myanmar on February 15.
