YANGON DIVISION – A comrade of Borderless Freedom Federal Column – BFFC was being captured by junta council on Sunday evening (July 16) along with the ammunition to be sent to upper Myanmar, BFFC group reported.
The comrade was reportedly seized by junta soldiers at about 5:30 p.m. on Yangon expressway near zero mile check point.
“One BFFC comrade was captured along with 20 weapons, while taking them out from taxi. We have already made an appointment to come to the exact place. As we found out that something had happened to him, we turned back,” said Bo Kyarzi of the Borderless Freedom Federal Column.
Since the news was leaked, Comrade Pyaung Gyi (37) was being seized with 2000 NATO bullets, 1000 AK bullets, 2 short guns, 18 rifles, which were the value of more than 300 million kyats lost.
“Comrade Pyaung Gyi was the only person on the car transporting weapons. It is possible that the information was leaked through the driver,” said Bo Kyarzi.
He added that the military council controlled the phone of the abducted comrade and contacted other BFFC members.
“The military council tried to lure us, but our comrades have already reached to a safe place. The junta thugs tried calling us using the abductee’s phone. They said the weapons have reached but our comrades retreated cleverly,” said Bo Kyarzi.
