KARENNI STATE – The local news sources said that terrorist military council dropped bombs on the Dawnukuu IDP (internally displaced people) camp on the Myanmar-Thailand border on July 12 and some people were injured and killed.
Those who were helping to those IDPs said that junta is targeting a refugee camp from the Karenni (Kayah) state on the early morning of July 12.
“Some people have been injured and there have been deaths. We have not received a detailed list yet,” said a Karenni refugee helper.
At least 8,000 Karenni local people have fled to the Thailand-Myanmar border because of the battles in Hpasawng, Ywa Thit, and Me Se.
Bombs were dropped onto Kyauksu and Dawnukuu IDP camps at midnight. The targets they chose were schools, hospitals, and churches,” Karenni’s source said.
Karenni Army (KA) Commander-in-Chief Colonel Bhone Naing also informed that the military council’s air strikes are becoming more frequent as the ration supply route to the military council camps on the Thai-Karenni border has been cut off.
The Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) announced that 33 civilians were killed by the military council’s airstrikes, firing heavy artillery and killing while patrolling in the month of June.
