TANINTHARYI DIVISION – According to the locals, the fascist junta council troops abducted three young men from a house in Kwetthit Ward, Myeik Town, Tanintharyi division.
It was known that the fascist junta council troops had come to their (the victims’) house and abducted them at around 12 a.m. on December 3.
The victims are a 31-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old man and they are siblings.
A local mentioned that “three brothers were abducted. The reason why they were abducted is still unknown. The eldest brother was beaten by the junta council troops.”
According to their (the victims’) relatives, they are currently being detained in Myeik Myoma Police Station.
Starting from November 20, junta council appointed administrators verbally announced in the villages where there is strong influence of junta-backed Pyu Saw Htee militia, not to go out during 8 p.m. and 4 a.m.
Similarly, in November, the combination of the junta council troops and the Pyu Saw Htee militants abducted and inspected the civilians during the night time. The junta council troops also extorted and forced the abductees to testify and confiscated motorcycles.
