MAGWAY DIVISION – It was reportedly known from Kyauksauk People’s Defence Forces that two civilians’ houses and a hut from Kyauksauk new Village were torched by junta soldiers on October 2 at about 8 p.m.
Those military council troops have been stationed in Kyauksauk new Village since October 1, and they burned down the villagers’ houses after being attacked by the defense forces.
“I think they (junta thugs) faced casualties. We were fired back with heavy weapons and they also burned a small camp (hut) which revolutionary forces usually stopped a while for shelter. In addition, other two houses near that camp were also set on fire,” said one of the information officer of Kyauksauk People’s Defence Organization.
After burning the houses, the military council troops left for Wakya Village, which is about 6 miles away from the Kyauksauk Village, and abducted three villagers of Wakya Village currently.
Kyauksauk new Village has around 110 houses, and this is the first time that it has been torched like this. Kyauksauk main Village, located on the other side of Kyauksauk new Village were torched by atrocious junta troops on April and August of 2022, torching eight houses.
