KAREN STATE – The news sources from Myawady said “4 out of 5 policemen have died, who were injured in the drone bombing in Myawady and hospitalized in Mae Sot.”
The funerals of those who were hit by a drone bomb should be held with only a few people for fear of being bombed by drones
On the night of September 3rd, when a drone dropped a bomb on the office of the general administration in Myawady, Lt. Col. Aung Kyaw Min, Myawady District Governor U Soe Tint, General Staff Officer U Tun Tun Nyein, Senior Clerk U Pheo Phyo Aung, and Traffic Police Superintendent Ne Lin Soe died. After that, 5 policemen, including the Myawady district police chief, Police Lt. Col. Aung Htet Win, received medical treatment at Mae Sot International Hospital. After that, on September 5th, it was learned that 4 more policemen who were in the hospital, except for the police chief of Myawady District, died.
“Four more policemen died. The bodies were taken from Mae Sot back to Myawady,” said a source in Myawady.
The victims who were hit by a drone bomb were buried on September 5th. Parents and relatives do funeral time and obituary briefs. It was learned that they were buried quickly without the presence of outsiders or friends.
“Yesterday, they were cremated continuously. There were only a few people at the funeral. The burial was at Myawady Cemetery. It can be seen from the top of La Khat Mountain. They quickly buried them in a mass because they were afraid of being bombed by drones. At 2 p.m. yesterday, they were quietly sent to Myawady Cemetery through the Myawady Hospital Mortuary. I think they only did the reading of the order for the deceased in the mortuary. It hasn’t been seen in the cemetery.” said a person who has been to a funeral.
