KAREN STATE – Locals of Myawaddy town said that there was fire caused by the explosion of a weapon fired by the terrorist army in Ward No. 5.
On April 1st, at around 11:15 a.m., Ward No. 5, near Taung Galay Monastery, next to Asia Road, is on fire due to an explosion caused by a shell fired by the 275th Battalion of the terrorist army.
“We know that Ward No. 5, next to Taung Galay Monastery in Myawaddy, is on fire today. I don’t know if the 275 was deliberately shot by military dogs or if the weapon weakened to reach its target and exploded,” said a local resident.
In addition, on March 30th and the 31st, the Terrorist War Council Army, dropped incendiary bombs on Nyinaung city near Weishan, and the entire town of Nyinaung burned down. It is reported that the army is also firing heavy weapons continuously.
“From March 30th to March 31st, the army dropped incendiary bombs on Nyinaung town for 2 days in a row. Thingan Nyinaung new town was reduced to ashes 3 weeks ago, and now Nyinaung town at intersection of Weishan was also covered in ashes. There is nothing left. The war is gradually approaching Myawaddy town,” said a revolutionary source from Myawaddy township.
