YANGON DIVISION – An Urban Special Operation (U.S.O) official said that the junta council’s Hmawbi Air Base, which is carrying out air strikes on ethnic areas and people, was attacked with five 107mm shock missiles.
“According to internal sources, we heard that there was a lot of damage. They are even searching for us with aircrafts flying low. The inspectors at the gate also searched thoroughly. Our comrades could return safely,” said the U.S.O. official.
On October 22, at around 9:00 p.m., the military council airbase in Yangon Division’s Hmawbi Township was attacked, aided by information from internal informers (known as watermelons). The U.S.O. said in a statement that there were aircraft fuel, equipment for aircraft repairs and aircraft that have been moved at the place of attack.
The official continued that after the operation, the vicinity of Hmawbi, Htauk Kyant and Hlegu Townships were thoroughly searched by helicopters flying low with searchlights.
This operation is the fifth operation of the urban special operation and the U.S.O. has warned that the associated units and those connected with the economic assets of the junta council will be attacked as military targets.
Urban Special Operations U.S.O. announced on September 15 that it would escalate its operations in Yangon, and conducted four operations within a month.
In addition, it warned that military operations will no longer be cancelled for the nobs lost in enjoyment when the entire nation is grieving.
