MYANMAR – State leaders including Acting President Duwa La Shila of the National Unity Government (NUG) had an online meeting with revolutionary soldiers for four hours on October 10, announced the NUG Ministry of Defence.
The meeting took place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the leaders gave motivational speeches to the revolutionary soldiers.
Before the meeting, a 30 second silence was held in memory of the innocent children and civilians murdered by the junta council’s intentional attack on the civilians in Mung Lai Hket IDP camp.
Acting President Duwa La Shila, Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than, CRPH Chair Aung Kyi Nyunt, Union Ministers, People’s Defence Force (PDF) officers from the PDF Military Office and Military Regions and Divisions and regional and district People’s Defence Organization officers attended the meeting.
Officers discussed the revolution status and goals in related regions and Union Minister of Defence Yee Mon and Deputy Minister Naing Kaung Ywat participated in the discussion.
This was the first meeting between the State leaders and revolutionary soldiers from various regions.
