MAGWAY DIVISION – According to Yaw People’s Defence Force (YPDF) members, a meeting between YPDF and local people was held in a village in Gangaw Township from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on October 9.
Nearly 80 local people attended the meeting, and the two sides talked about how if the people continue to participate in the revolution as much as they can, they will be truly successful and the desire to make sure that the people of Yaw Region are not left behind in the building of a future federal democratic union.
“Even if you can’t do anything in the revolution, verbal encouragement is also a revolution. We have to ensure that our actions don’t delay or harm the revolution,” said a spokesperson for YPDF.
In addition, the people should not be spying (for the junta regime) and to bravely correct the errs of the PDF, People’s Defence Organizations and People’s Security Organizations.
It is said that similar meetings have been held in about eight villages. Local people enthusiastically welcomed and supported the meetings and Comrade Aung Gyi, a member of the Central Executive Committee of YPDF, was also said to have donated three dozens of exercise books, 36 pencils and 25 pens under YPDF’s “From the people to the people” program.
On September 29, the chairman of the YPDF Central Executive Committee, General Secretary and teams, officials from the battalion visited a village in the area as a campaign trip and explained the revolution and the political situation.
