RAKHINE – Dr. Nyo Tun Aung, deputy chief of the AA, stated in a press conference that there have been no discussions between the AA and the junta council regarding a ceasefire. He clarified that, as per the Haigen Agreement in Kunming City, China, some discussions are taking place between the Three Brotherhood Alliances and the junta council, but these discussions pertain only to Northern Shan State and are unrelated to Rakhine.
Dr. Nyo Tun Aung further added that there is an agreement not to disclose details about the discussions, but it is widely known, and there is no discussion regarding a ceasefire. According to the Haigen Agreement, discussions between the Three Brotherhood Alliance and the junta council are focused solely on a ceasefire in Northern Shan State, China-Myanmar Border Trading, and combating cybercrimes. Dr. Nyo Tun Aung debunked rumors about the sharing of profits between the Three Brotherhood Alliance and the junta council from China-Myanmar trading, stating that such claims are untrue.
