SAGAING DIVISION – According to sources close to the school, the military council sentenced the founding teacher of “Yin Thway Yadana” Private High School in Thasi ward, Sein Kon Prefecture, Sagaing Township, to 4 years in prison on May 25.
The Sagaing District Prison Court of the Junta Council ordered the owner of a private school, headmistress Daw Htar Htar Oo, 57, to serve 4 years in prison under Section 52 (a) of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
“She was arrested by the anti-terrorist law for having links with PDF and NUG. Now it is known that she has been jailed for that case,” a person close to the private school told the local media.
It is said that Daw Htar Htar Oo was sued for allegedly related to PDF, and on September 21st of last year, military council soldiers entered and arrested her in the private school. Seven months after her arrest, she was sentenced to prison, and the teacher was detained in Monywa Prison.
In addition, after the military council arrested Daw Htar Htar Oo, her Private School was sealed on the same day.
It is reported that teacher Daw Htar Htar Oo was arrested because she urged goverment employees to join CDM through the Facebook social network and taught online class at the Sagaing Federal school under the NUG government.
