YANGON DIVISION- An eyewitness stated that the junta troops were inspecting the cars and motorbikes in Insein and Shwepyithar Townships on Friday, (May 26) at around 8 a.m. and some vehicles and bikes with side trawlers were reportedly confiscated.
“The roads were all clear and could travel as usual at around 11 a.m. The owners of the cars and bikes they confiscated were reportedly taken away in police cars,” said a resident of Shwepyithar Township.
“I don’t know what kind of information they received but about twenty soldiers and police have been blocking the road and checking passersby vehicles all morning since around 8 a.m. until lunch break around 11:30 a.m.,” stated the resident.
Moreover, junta troops were searching the vehicles thoroughly on Pinlon Street (North Dagon Township) and Seikan Street (Eastern New Dagon Township), asking the drivers to open their back trunks, as reported by a taxi driver.
These days, the junta council troops have been tracing and arresting the revolutionary forces, especially during night time, and also increasing security checks during day time.
