AYEYARWADDY DIVISION – Junta troops are allegedly planning to abduct CDM employees from Yay Kyi Township in Ayeyarwaddy Division.
There are orders to forcibly abduct CDM employees from Yay Kyi, Athote and Ngathaichaung, especially targeting the educational staff, according to a source close to the military.
“It seems like an operation. (The junta forces) were ordered to capture any CDM staff. All CDM staff from both towns and villages in Yay Kyi Township will be targeted,” further added the source.
Starting from the beginning of June, more than ten CDM employees were reportedly arrested by the junta council and this headcount also included some of their family members as well.
On June 7 in Ngatthike Village, Ngathaichaung Township, junta forces attempted to arrest a CDM staff but took away his wife and kid after the soldiers were unable to find this CDM staff, according to the residents.
