MAGWAY DIVISION – The. Local residents are fleeing as the junta army is advancing toward the Yay Lel Kyun region after they were attacked in Yesagyo Town.
The junta troops of about 30 soldiers, which came from Yesagyo police station, were being attacked at about 7:30 a.m. on October 10. The military thugs were attacked using 12 land mines near Kwa Nee compound at the exit of Yesagyo Town, the spokesperson of the People’s Defence Force – Yesagyo Town said.
Six junta soldiers were reportedly injured by the attack, and they were brought to the town using civilian cars, said Yesagyo (PaKaPha).
“They (junta troops) were patrolling around the town. At present, a lot of forces have been deployed in Yesagyo town,” he added.
On Thursday (October 12), the military council soldiers came to the Yay Lel Kyun region and opened fire recklessly with heavy weapons, forcing many local residents to flee.
In the afternoon of October 12, the junta council thugs torched the Kyauk Phu Yeiktha monastery, but the details of the damage are not yet known.
At present, the military council troops have been patrolling actively in Yesagyo Town. Thus, the Yesagyo PaKaPha reminded the people to stay away from the places of the fascist junta group.
