MAGWAY DIVISION – A fierce fight reportedly broke out between Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) and terrorist junta forces on May 25, while MBT was trying to evacuate a wounded comrade who had been shot and captured by the fascist junta forces in Yesagyo Town.
On May 24, at around 9:00 a.m., two comrades of MBT No. 2 Camp unexpectedly met with the brutal junta forces and were shot and abducted, but a comrade escaped from the abduction. The MBT tried to rescue the wounded and captured comrade on May 25.
However, the fascist junta soldiers took the injured comrade with them, and hence MBT was unable to rescue him. The MBT carried out retaliatory attacks on the multi-offices compound in Yesagyo Town, the junta’s strongest defense base and the skirmish lasted about half an hour.
After the clash, the MBT reported that around ten terrorist junta forces were killed during the fight, but it is yet to be independently confirmed.
“What happened yesterday (May 24) was that a comrade was shot in his leg and stomach, while another one escaped with injuries. It was true that there was a fight today (May 25), near my house. I don’t know whether the dogs (junta soldiers) were killed or not,” said a resident of Yesagyo.
When the battle was over, as the terrorist junta forces would definitely retaliate, MBT stated that they set mines around the junta base and on the roads, placed guards and finalized negotiations with the local people.
On May 4, MBT carried out guerrilla warfare over the terrorist junta forces stationed at the multi-offices compound in No. 2 Si Pin Thar Yar Ward of Yesagyo Township, killing a junta soldier, according to pro-democracy military informant (locally called as watermelon).
