SAGAING DIVISION – People’s Defense Comrade’s Information Officer Htoo Khant Zaw (Mother’s Son) told the media that the junta army was raiding the villages in Ye U Township and more than 5,000 people from more than 11 villages had to flee to safety.
On February 7, around 1:00 a.m., the junta army entered Kokkosu Village on the south of Ye U Township in two large vehicles and headed to the west. Due to the junta convoy raiding the villages in the west of Ye U, more than 5,000 locals were forced to flee.
At present, residents from the villages in the western part of Ye U Township, such as Ywartharlay, Kokkosu, Mu Tharkone, Motesi, Nyautan, Pyitaw, Konegyi, Konetan, Nhawkone, Zawa, Ywarmatetha and Musone Villages had fled to safety.
“Now, the military dog column (junta column) is raiding the western side of Ye U Township. At around 1 a.m., from the south side of Kokkosu Village, the convoy entered Ye U and then left for the western part. Locals of eleven villages have been fleeing. The junta dogs (junta forces) are stationed at Nyautan Village,” said the Information officer of Ye U-based People’s Defense Comrade Force.
