SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces raided the houses of nine men who were picked for military service and abducted them in Ye U, said Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar), the information officer of Ye U based People’s Defence Comrade.
On April 29 around 9 p.m., five civilians from Shwepyithar Ward and four from Aungmingalar Ward who were shortlisted to be conscripted were abducted by junta terrorists at their homes.
It is said that those nine people are currently detained at Ye U Traditional Hospital stationed by terrorist junta forces.
“From what we are told, five people from Shwepyithar Ward and four people from Aungmingalar Ward were taken. It happened around 9 p.m. last night (April 29). They were reportedly abducted from their homes. The people who were taken were already selected for military service. We don’t know about their ages yet. (Junta forces) Patrol the town every night from Ye U Traditional Hospital. They just abducted the people in place of their usual guest list checks. Some people, picked for military service, had fled the town as they no longer dare to live there,” said Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar).
